gum%20chewer.jpg

Health-and-wellness site RealAge reports that chewing Vitamin C-enriched gum can lead to healthier gums and even reduce plaque and tartar.

In a recent study, gum chewers experienced less gingivitis-like bleeding than non-chewers, but only if their gum of choice was enriched with vitamin C.

You'll want to stick to the sugarless kind, of course, and you'll need to chew upwards of 5 times per day to reap the benefits, the study says. If you've tried a Vitamin C gum and found it particularly tasty, tell us where to find it in the comments.
